In 1983 I started to work at Radiological Clinic of Semmelweis University. I concluded a special examination in 1988. From 1993 to 2005 I was the Head of the Radiological Department of the Transplantation and Surgical Clinic.
I compiled my Ph.D. paper with the title: The role of 3-dimensional CT-angiography in cadaver liver transplant: the significance of the pre- and postoperative examinations. In the past years I was a Lecturer at several national and international congresses.
Radiology is a typical consultant-like specialty, which primarily deals with the Diagnostics, although in several cases it also provides therapeutical opportunities.
I know more about the patient (historical background, clinical status, lab diagnoses, etc.), I therefore can conclude more accurate diagnosis. I consider it important to work and brainstorm together with my colleagues. I believe in the significance of my profession and I consider myself being privileged as I really enjoy my work!
Professional orientation
Within the Radiology I primarily deal with Ultrasound, CT diagnostics and Mammography. I regularly carry out Ultrasound- and CT-controlled interventions (Biopsy, drainage, transrenalis drain insertion, nomination, etc.). But I am very proud to mention that I have also carried out a pancreas island transplant.
